Responsibilities
Adhere to all Langley COD policies and procedures for software development.
Support technical planning, analysis, assessment, design, development, systems integration, installation, configuration, testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, sustainment, special/trade-study, technical recommendations, and regulatory compliance of the Langley COD architecture.
Provide sustaining and maintenance support for network architecture devices.
Perform system administration functions for Mission systems and ensure Cybersecurity requirements compliance.
Support network management and modeling efforts.
Develop and maintain lab and test environments.
Provide emerging insertion technologies.
Perform application configurations and maintenance of tools.
Provide integration and testing support for system upgrades and certifications.
Develop and validate system architecture.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field with 10-12 years of experience working in software engineering operations; or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain a NASA Public Trust clearance
Creativity to imagine innovative, effective new solutions and designs
Apply sound logic and reasoning against troubleshooting difficult issues
Must be able to develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback is an important aspect of this position
Both oral and written communication skills are vital to relaying important information, training new staff members, and communicating about solutions to complex problems
Preferred
15+ years of software engineering experience across multiple disciplines (coding, testing, deploying, troubleshooting) with basic understanding of hybrid cloud service operations
General understanding of ITSM processes and experience with agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe using technologies like Jira or ServiceNow
General understanding of DevSecOps concepts and Site Reliability Engineering
AWS Solutions Architect certification
Azure DevOps Engineer certification
