Responsibilities

Supervises Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering.

Manages the physical plant and equipment maintenance.

Ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Manages department's expenses and budget goals.

Orders new equipment and supplies.

Inspects facilities and determines maintenance needs.

Supervises day-to-day operations of Engineering.

Maintains accurate records and plans preventative maintenance programs.

Handles guest problems effectively and empowers employees for excellent customer service.

Helps establish property maintenance priorities and ensures effective communication.

Celebrates team successes and maintains positive relationships with employees.

Ensures fair treatment of employees and strives to improve service performance.

Reviews employee satisfaction, ensures regulatory compliance, and administers property policies consistently.

Required

High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
