Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality design packages for new or modified substations using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electric, or 3D modeling/design tools.

Design physical aspects of substations including foundation & structure design, grounding layouts, switchgear assembly layouts, etc.

Perform protection and control design, calculations for studies and reports, equipment specification, and transmission of drawing packages.

Coordinate with project associates, interact with manufacturers and vendors, and provide support to construction or maintenance personnel.

Conduct site visits, participate in design review meetings, support customer design criteria, and provide engineering/project cost estimates and schedules.

Required

Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (oral & written) and the ability to communicate technical issues simply.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or civil engineering

Must be a self-starter and exhibit strong problem-solving skills.

Must work well in a team environment as well as independently and have the ability to develop and build relationships at all levels.

Must possess effective time management and organizational skills sufficient to manage multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines.

Must demonstrate a customer focus with a willingness to meet the needs of our customers and solicit feedback.
