Responsibilities

Plan and execute the functional and environmental testing for the space robotics products
Summarize test results in report and provide feedback to the development team
Design and implement tools/JIGs, prepare harness that enables team members to run development tests
Maintain test facility including maintenance, repairing, and troubleshooting
Perform structured root cause analysis of in-process failures
Collaborate with the design team and improve the product
Communicate with outside personnel when using outside testing facilities

Required

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other technical field
1+ years of experience using test instrumentation and control components such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, and load cells
Experience with 3D mechanical CAD and drawing
Capable of performing detailed work such as mechanical component assembly and soldering
Physical capacity to independently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds

Preferred

Experience in space-grade product development or manufacturing
Experience in operating vacuum chambers
Experience with Linux OS
Passion for space exploration and/or robotics
Startup mentality and grit to embody the adaptability and drive necessary to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to exhibit flexibility and proactivity in task completion, ensuring adaptability to evolving project demands
