Responsibilities
Collaborate with editorial and operations teams to introduce and implement new workflows and technologies that address their needs
Engage with vendors and internal software teams to develop solutions, create integrations, and optimize workflows for news planning
Assist in managing the entire lifecycle of the news planning platform, spanning from design and development to deployment, and provide ongoing post-launch support
Work closely with software development, media and engineering operations, product development, and editorial groups to refine and iterate on solutions to enhance user experience
Play a key role in the change management process, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption of new platforms and technologies.
Design and implement training programs for staff on the new system and workflows.
Maintain a deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies related to news planning and show production planning

Required
Strong experience in news production, with a specific focus on editorial planning and coordination workflows.
Proven ability to work effectively with editorial, operations, and technology teams in a media environment.
Knowledge of various newsroom systems and vendors, with the ability to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in a relevant field.
Familiarity with media management workflows, news planning tools, and newsroom coordination platforms.
5-7 years of experience in product management, particularly in media or news-related projects.
Preferred
Background in software development or UX design, particularly in solutions related to news and content production.
Experience organizing and leading workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to create compelling presentations and guide conversations.
