Responsibilities
Review, prepare, and audit general ledger journal entries and financial statements.
Oversee and troubleshoot the Account Reconciliation Process.
Prepare or audit monthly financial reports summarizing and forecasting the company's financial position.
Coordinate and prepare analysis of the records, trends, costs, revenues, and expenses, including budgetary variances.
Oversee the annual submission of the medical loss ratio for regulatory purposes.
Prepare analysis and reports used for the premium development for submission to the Actuary.
Assist in the preparation and development of the annual operation budget.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously within needed timeframes and work effectively with co-workers.
Show organizational skills through effective planning and delegating.
Constantly seek opportunities to improve processes to support more efficient and effective work outcomes.
Maintain technical proficiency in how to produce the total end product of assigned function and maintain proficiency of use regarding organizational products.
Work independently in a self-directed, non-confrontational, collaborative manner.

Proficiency in Accounting Functions
Experience in Budget Processes
Capable of Monthly Financial Reporting
Skilled in Financial Statement Audits
Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)
Ability to manage an Annual Budget
Competency in Variance Analysis
Knowledge of Cost Variance
Capability to Analyze Revenues
Experience with General Ledger
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field is required, advanced degree is preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
Proven track record of upholding workplace privacy and handling sensitive information with discretion
Preferred
Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
Familiarity with financial planning software
