Responsibilities

Meet with the Product Management, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to define the scope and scale of software projects.

Design and deliver software system architecture for the ongoing migration to Spark, leveraging modern data processing technology stacks in a multi-cloud Databricks / Spark environment.

Work within the existing ML pipeline solution, re-engineering as needed, to integrate new capabilities, improve efficiency and scalability, and support regulatory requirements.

Seek the input of others. Discuss, negotiate, and persuade with a quest for the best solution in a manner that builds trust and strengthens relationships.

Design and implement scalable web services, applications, and APIs.

Write technical documents.

Understand and apply agile development methods, core values, guiding principles, and key practices.

Understand and apply Continuous Integration/Delivery theory and practices.

Apply a rich breadth of healthcare and data analytics industry experience and background, working across functions within a multi-cultural workforce.

Demonstrate thought leadership by applying introducing new tools and methods and creatively using existing tools and methods.

Required

Bachelor’s degree or greater in computer engineering or computer science.

At least five years of experience as a full stack engineer.

At least two years of experience providing team leadership in software architecture and design practices.

Advanced knowledge of and experience with Python and at least one other high-level language, such as Java and C#.

Proficient in front-end languages and development frameworks, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.

At least two years of experience in Apache Spark, Databricks, or other cloud-agnostic microservices framework, using relevant Python packages (PySpark, SQLAlchemy).

At least three years of experience with databases and writing SQL.

At least one year of experience collaborating with data science teams to support machine learning projects.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills.

Preferred

Experience designing, implementing, evolving, and improving the end-to-end speed and scalability of serverless solutions for data processing and machine learning.

At least two years of experience in REST API design and implementation.

At least three years of experience in a healthcare environment or with healthcare data.

Experience with machine learning pipeline design and development.

Experience implementing CI/CD.
