Compliance Analyst (Insurance)

Responsibilities
Implement compliance policies, procedures, guidelines, strategic plans, and training materials to enhance efficiency, promote understanding, and mitigate risks.
Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation and regulations
Serve as the primary liaison for compliance vendors, respond to regulatory inquiries, coordinate audit response efforts, and handle claim requests from external stakeholders and our claims TPA.
Maintain and monitor a database of compliance filings, manage due dates, prepare status reports, ensure timely submission of regulatory reports, and assist with filing and negotiating regulatory approvals.
Stay current with industry-wide compliance initiatives and regulations, analyze their impact on operations, manage compliance implications for new products and corporate initiatives, and collaborate on employee compliance training.

Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, risk management, legal, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in a compliance role within the insurance industry, is required
Strong knowledge of insurance claims regulations, compliance frameworks, industry best practices, and experience with the Consumer Duty Act is preferred
Excess & Surplus Lines experience
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, drafting, and policy-writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive policies, procedures, and training materials
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and technology departments to develop and implement automated compliance solutions
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and professional certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) are a plus
Preferred
Strong knowledge of insurance claims regulations, compliance frameworks, industry best practices, and experience with the Consumer Duty Act is preferred
