Responsibilities

Develop new features, maintain and enhance existing functionality

Work within an extensible and performant system architecture

Maintain a broad knowledge of emergent trends in software development platforms, tools, methodologies, and their underlying principles

Perform code review, unit test coverage, and continuous improvement; ensure unit tests written for all new code

Build tools to support automation and productivity

Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions

Seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the product’s technology stack when they can add value

Work directly with support organizations to resolve production issues

Provide application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects

Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance related issues

Required

8+ years of technical experience including experience in technical architecture, application development, database management or operations

6+ years Java experience

3+ years’ experience with web services (e.g., RESTful services)

2+ years’ experience with front-end development in Angular

2+ years’ experience developing applications on Linux OS

Strong understanding of object-oriented oriented programming and design patterns

Solid understanding of SQL query language and relational data design

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering

Experience with cloud application development (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure)

Exposure to cloud infrastructure like web servers, load balancers, application gateways, firewalls, etc.

Experience with Agile development and Atlassian tools: JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence

Experience with DevOps concepts and tools: Python or Bash scripting, Jenkins, Azure DevOps

Passion for high quality work and attention to detail

Strong collaboration skills, responsive to service needs and project demands in a fast-changing environment
