Responsibilities

Apply your knowledge and expertise to bring compelling new features and exceptional user experiences to market

Drive architectural and design decisions using best practices and the appropriate technologies and approaches for patient-facing, partner-facing, and internal-facing products

Champion a user-centric approach throughout the design and development process.

Independently spearhead the delivery of large and complex projects by identifying, prioritizing, and solving for ambiguous, open-ended problems with flexibility, and execute on all aspects of the software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance).

Exercise strong technical leadership through modeling best practice coding. Design and deliver high performance, testable, extensible, and scalable software systems.

Keep up to date on technologies and demonstrate the maturity to know how and when to adopt them.

Evaluate technological and design choices, and present well-thought-out approaches and technical trade-offs.

Help build and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, and promoting continuous learning and growth

Required

5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer with a successful history of launching products, and a focus on consumer-facing applications.

Deep experience and understanding of a wide range of front technologies, languages, frameworks, component libraries, and tools (we use Typescript, React, and CSS; experience with other front end technologies (e.g. Redux, Angular) is a bonus))

Experience working in B2C organizations with a focus on consumer products

A strong understanding of front-end performance optimization, scalability, and security

Proven track record of high quality coding and architectural design

Solid experience with SPA, monorepo, test-driven development, CI/CD, and monitoring tools

Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility, unit testing (e.g. Playwright, Jest, Jasmine, etc)

Strong communication skills

Proven experience in interviewing engineering candidates, mentoring team members, and fostering professional growth within a technology team.

Preferred

Experience extending backend API systems and writing database queries is a plus

Experience building and deploying native apps on iOS and Android is a plus

Passion for creating exceptional consumer experiences, especially in the healthcare or health tech space.
