Responsibilities

Executes institutional and program activities with a high degree of independence.
Increases resident, faculty, and staff engagement by redesigning and implementing TIGMER-wide events including orientations, wellness experiences, graduations, and holiday gatherings.
Promotes TIGMER programs by organizing resident recruitment fairs, expanding social media presence, and revamping websites.
Develops, streamlines, and maintains a program for onboarding of new residents, faculty, and program coordinators, including University and GME-specific applications.
Enhances logistical and operational aspects of the interview process to ensure a selection of highly qualified candidates.
Oversees the resident appointment and reappointment process.
Monitors program operation allocations and expenses and makes recommendations to program leadership.
Partners with program directors concerning program management challenges and activities. Identify and evaluate methods for improvement and make recommendations to program leadership.
Contributes to program-specific meetings including Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) meetings, Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) meetings, and Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) meetings; takes minutes and creates action plans as needed.
Partners with program leadership in the development of program-level policies; evaluates program policies to ensure alignment with institutional, accreditation, and university requirements.
Partners with program leadership to enhance the didactic curriculum for resident education.
Assists with implementation of faculty and resident development activities including quarterly grand rounds and a wellness curriculum as required by the accrediting body (i.e., burnout, fatigue mitigation, sleep deprivation, professionalism, and communication).
Serves as a point of contact for residents, fellows, and faculty with questions, problems, issues, or needs pertaining to the GME programs.
Oversees the work of support staff and provides mentorship to other program administrators as needed.
Creates and analyzes reports.
Provides off-site support to alternate UIW offices, hospitals, and off-campus sites to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc. as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required

Comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies.
Knowledge of CMS funding rules and regulations.
Ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment; high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail to provide accurate information.
Strong ability to maintain confidential information.
Proficiency in time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Works effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Four (4) years of relevant experience working in an education (i.e., college, school of health professions, or university) or hospital setting.
Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Preferred

Prior experience working in a GME program.
Experience working with residency management software (i.e., New Innovations, MedHub, etc.).
Experience preparing grant proposals and applications.
