Responsibilities

Assist in installing, configuring, and documenting Enterprise level networks and devices according to Business requirements. Network devices include but are not limited to: CISCO 9XXX Catalyst, 38XX Switches, ASA55XX, CISCO VPN Appliances, and Palo Alto NGFW.
Monitor, patch, and assist in upgrading and troubleshooting network configurations. Establish network policies, procedures, and standards. Develop alternative solutions to problems within established guidelines and standards. Ensure that all documentation on process and procedures are available and updated regularly.
Assist in implementing networks using various routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and Enterprise level BGP.
Plan, implement, and provide primary support of network infrastructure, implementation of network security policies, and network performance.
Validate network specifications and network equipment configurations based upon business requirements.
Provide strong customer service and facilitate collaboration between project teams and clients. Work closely with other Systems and Network Engineers and Network Operations Staff to ensure network connectivity requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Attend planning meetings and work closely with application development teams.
Perform other duties assigned. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Provide 24-hour on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
