Responsibilities
Perform infrastructure installation and de-installation including racks and ironwork.
Manage fiber & copper systems and DC power cable.
Terminate, clean, and test RJ45, Coaxial/BNC, wire wrap, and Fiber Optic Cable.
Handle grounding for HTAP and equipment.
Document using Microsoft Office suite for requirements review, redlining, and comprehension.

Required
One to three years of exposure/experience in construction, maintenance, or repair of telecommunications or electronics equipment
Completion of an accredited vocational or technical curriculum in telecommunications or a related discipline can substitute for some experience
Comprehensive knowledge of common communications installations
Theoretical and hands-on knowledge of network devices (routers, switches, etc.) from multiple manufacturers
Skill and expertise to install network devices per DISN Implementation Standards
Strong business communication skills (verbal, written, and graphic)
Exposure to a customer service environment
Government network systems experience
Cable running, splicing, and connector exposure
Possession of a basic telecommunications installation tool kit
Ability to obtain a 'Secret' security clearance
Willingness to travel 70% - 80% of the time for installations
Ability to set up and ascend/descend ladders
Ability to work under sub-flooring
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
