Responsibilities
Draft and maintain policies and standards for data governance, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Define business requirements and help procure relevant software & solutions related to data governance, quality, and security
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts to establish and enforce data quality metrics and benchmarks
Ensure data management practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Work with IT and business stakeholders to create and maintain a data inventory/catalog
Act as a liaison between IT, business units, and external stakeholders
Develop and deliver training programs in data governance principles, policies, and best practices
Apply lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Required
3+ years of practical experience in data governance or data management
Proficiency in data governance frameworks and standards, data quality tools, data cataloging solutions, and data management systems
In-depth understanding of data policies and standards development, data quality management, data security, and compliance
Proven ability to engage with stakeholders, experience in developing and delivering training programs on data governance principles, policies, and best practices
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems systemically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations
3+ years of experience working as part of a data & AI team
Familiarity with information architecture and creative disciplines
Experience with requirement/test/project management solutions
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
