Responsibilities
Design and drive implementation for anti-abuse detection and action systems, to protect Google Cloud and Workspace products.
Design and build scalable data pipelines.
Produce software design proposals and scope the level of efforts to set time-bounded goals for teams to agree on and implement.
Drive enterprise focused security improvements to Google products and services.
Perform security reviews, research, and reproduce vulnerabilities, design secure protocols and systems, and write tests.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in security engineering.
Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, R, Julia, C/C++, Java, SQL).
Preferred
4 years of experience in incident response, anomaly detection, or counter-abuse operations/tooling.
Experience with threat modeling, security assessments, and software architecture.
Experience leading junior engineers through frequent sync-ups, technical guidance, coaching.
