Responsibilities
Oversee multiple company projects between customers and internal research and project teams
Coordinate the operation of project teams to confirm assigned projects are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines
Develop proposals, ideas, and leads to support company business development goals
Ensure project teams are setting and meeting project milestones, deadlines, objectives, and goals
Prioritize and assign team members to appropriate projects as needed
Develop team member’s professional skills by providing thoughtful and consistent feedback on performance

Required
PhD and 10 years’ experience in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, cognitive science, or related fields and 15 or more years of professional research and project management experience
Research and development experience in one or more areas of technical expertise relevant to the Sentient Systems Directorate’s core capabilities
Demonstrated success leading and managing large projects in a contractor environment
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with proposal writing and engagement with government sponsors
Proven ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills, particularly in the technical domain
Active DoD security clearance
U.S. Citizenship
Preferred
Experience with Department of Defense/Intelligence Community/Department of Homeland Security Research and Development (R&D)
8+ years of experience applying technology to US Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community problems
