Responsibilities

Contribute to expanding the core payment processing platform and products within the Consumer Finance industry

Be a subject matter expert in Java development on AWS Cloud technologies

Build APIs for microservices using the Spring framework

Manage PostgreSQL or MySQL databases on Linux

Utilize AWS Cloud services like Lambda, EC2, AMI, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, S3, Transfer Family, etc.

Work on networking concepts such as firewalls, subnets, routing tables, NATs, VPNs

Implement CI/CD tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins

Develop with queuing technologies like RabbitMQ, Kafka, SNS, SQS, REDIS

Collaborate with the team in a fast-paced environment with a focus on code quality

Required

5+ years of experience with Java development on AWS Cloud technologies

Proficiency in Spring framework (MVC, Security, and basic IOC) and building APIs for microservices

Strong understanding of multi-threading and multi-processing in Java

Proficiency in PostgreSQL or MySQL database management on Linux

Strong experience with AWS Cloud services like Lambda, EC2, AMI, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, S3, Transfer Family and best practices

Basic networking knowledge (what are firewalls, subnets, routing tables, NATs, VPNs)

Knowledge and experience with AWS EKS ( Kubernetes env )

Hands-on experience with Terraform and Kubernetes

Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Maven or Gradle and Jenkins

Familiarity with queuing technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, SNS, SQS, REDIS)

Familiar with developing Web technologies (HTTP, Spring MVC, JQuery, JSTL, HTML, CSS)

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to code quality

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
