Responsibilities
Develop imec.link’s business to provide access to advanced ASIC foundry technologies to Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and larger companies in North America.
Build and manage a portfolio of customers in the turnkey ASIC market.
Maximize leads of ASIC opportunities in the defined target applications.
Advise customers on optimal chip technology for their application.
Prepare quotations, negotiate, and close contracts.
Ensure correct execution of chip production contracts and follow up on forecasting and delivery schedule.
Represent imec at external fairs and exhibitions for networking purposes.
Advise management on actions and decisions.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (Master or PhD is a plus) with strong knowledge in the design and fabrication of chips
5 years or more hands-on experience in high-tech sales and/or business development, preferably in the fabless semiconductor market
Technical knowledge of chip fabrication techniques (CMOS)
Eagerness to keep up to date on the latest developments
Ability to judge problem situations and opportunities, recognize priorities, and act accordingly in a flexible manner
Willingness to travel regularly (1 to 2 trips per month) 30%+ within the US and several visits each year to imec’s headquarters in Belgium
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), customer-oriented, and diplomatic
Ability to extend internal and external networks and confer fluently on technical, legal, and business-related matters
Relevant network and experience in a technical-commercial function
Flexible team player, actively helping other team members
Ability to see changes as an opportunity to learn and grow
Quick learner, able and interested in acquiring new skills and competences
Preferred
Experience and understanding of chip design, tools & flow, as well as chip packaging and test
