Responsibilities

Identify integration gaps and aid development teams in creating patches to mitigate the identified gaps.

Analyze existing reference architecture designs, distill associated software integration requirements, and create plans that identify necessary resourcing requirements.

Work with other engineers and architects to create new reference architectures by incorporating new software parts.

Generate and analyze test output to determine if system software updates are needed.

Develop and document missing testing and validation procedures necessary to execute Continuous Integration/Continuous Development pipelines.

Coordinate and execute Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines to ensure proper installation and operation of software systems.

Define updates to compute system hardware specified for Reference Architectures.

Define updates to power supply requirements for new hardware specified for Reference Architectures.

Assign projects and tasks, perform compensation and performance reviews, and approve time off planning for subordinates.

Required

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

Must have five (5) years of experience with programming, including Go or Python;

Must have five (5) years of experience with container development, virtualization, cloud computing or cloud-native development, and automation;

Must have five (5) years of experience with Linux system programming;

Must have five (5) years of experience with distributed system design and development;

Must have five (5) years of experience with software testing or Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery pipelines;

Must have five (5) years of experience with production Telco or Service Provider environments, either as a network operator or vendor;

Must have three (3) years of experience with Linux operation and administration;

Must have three (3) years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat CoreOS, Red Hat OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization or VMware vSphere;

Must have three (3) years of experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform;

Must have one (1) year of experience developing Operators for OpenShift or Kubernetes.
