Responsibilities

Provide architect support for all network infrastructure systems within the enterprise.
Serve as technical implementer for the deployment and support of network infrastructure.
Work with Systems Engineers, Applications teams, and other departments to provide a stable and scalable network infrastructure.
Responsible for technical hardware/software/cabling, bandwidth requirements, configuration planning, administration, and support of data and communications network, including facilities planning.
Provide Tier 4 support and guidance within the department and affiliate entities.
Document work in the form of policies, procedures, standards, and knowledge base articles.
Lead technical projects and provide guidance to team members to ensure quality and delivery of work.
Work independently and with various teams across the enterprise.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science, telecommunications, information sciences and 3 years of related experience OR 6 years of related experience
7+ years of experience in Network Engineering
Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus network infrastructure
Expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst network infrastructure
Expert knowledge of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), ISE experience a plus
Expert knowledge of Cisco Aggregation Services Routers (ASR)
Expert knowledge of Cisco Enterprise Wireless design and management
Expert knowledge of WAN technologies
Strong knowledge Palo Alto Firewall technologies
Working knowledge Cisco UCS infrastructure components
Working knowledge Citrix NetScaler technologies
Working knowledge of enterprise-class Infrastructure environments
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to author technical documents and create procedure manuals
Strong interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Ability to conduct research into current and future technologies
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Healthcare knowledge/background including data privacy practices and laws
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
On-call availability 7/24 as part of a rotation schedule
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred
CCNA and CCNP certification is required within 180 days of employment
Must be fully/independently technically competent and physically capable to perform duties as listed within the department
Must be able to rapidly read, comprehend, and put to practical use, a wide variety of technical literature
Must be able to translate technical information and procedures into user solutions
Must be able to write and speak clearly to communicate effectively with users
Must develop and produce without assistance presentation-quality User Requirements and documentation
Must impart confidence to the users
Must respond to major incidents in accordance with department service level agreements
Must respond to and actively participate in disaster situations to restore information access to critical users such as administrators, doctors, nurses, and patients
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities
Self-motivated with the understanding that expectations and evaluations are based on peak performance; not minimum standards
Possesses strong team skills and good interpersonal communication skills

Preferred

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred
An equivalent or higher-level network certification as determined by the Manager may be substituted for the CCNA and CCNP
