Responsibilities

Drives Health and Safety according to the regional and plant priorities. Makes positive contributions to the plants’ safety activities and initiatives.

Coordinates and participates in improving the Plant’s technical capabilities.

Initiates process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production, and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant’s equipment.

Elevates the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.

Continuously analyzes equipment/system performance, documents findings, and proposes solutions for improvements.

Develops standard operating procedures and targets. Trains and coaches operation personnel to apply them consistently.

Provides technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions.

Promotes the increased use of Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials.

Conducts economic and operational feasibility studies on proposed modifications and/or additions.

Ensures compliance with internal control procedures.

Provides technical support on the implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required.

Required

Bachelors degree or years of equivalent experience

Minimum 1-3 years of cement plant experience

Strong computer expertise in but not limited to: SAP, TIS, HLC, Microsoft Office

Cement Process engineering

Experience managing technology development and pilot projects

Experience working in process industries, e.g. cement, power generation, oil and gas

Strong problem identification and solving, analytical and written and verbal communication skills

Dynamic and innovative approach

Able to successfully manage multiple priorities

Ability to build strategic working relationships within the company and with external stakeholders

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors
