Responsibilities

Develop process FMEA, Control Plans, conduct capability assessment, and measurement systems analysis
Analyze and improve quality systems to enhance product and process quality and reduce cost
Develop Inspection Reference Plans in support of RMI (as assigned)
Conduct audits, document audit findings, and ensure closure of audit findings
Analyze failures and provide corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
Data collection, analysis, and dissemination including quality performance, cost, and reliability/warranty calculations
Collaborate and add value in engineering design reviews
Understand and implement lean tools and methods in performance of essential functions
Estimate level of effort for a task
Analyze data to determine quality trends, find technical root causes, and implement corrective actions for given problems
Design custom tooling as needed for specific applications
Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques
Serve as a mentor to less experienced quality engineers (Quality Engineer 1)

Industry StandardsEngineering Tools

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Demonstrated full use of industry standards and procedures
Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in use of engineering tools
