Responsibilities

Lead the development of static and dynamic designs for mechanical systems, equipment, and packages.

Supervise detailed design preparation, testing, and prototype fabrication.

Guide new areas of technological research and advancements.

Ensure compliance with corporate codes, government policies, and standards.

Define designs for reliability, functionality, and cost reduction targets.

Approve upgrade engineering projects and proposals.

Supervise quality control tasks and risk assessment for projects.

Maintain project outcomes within time, cost, quality, and scope constraints.

Advocate for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Provide design information and manage contractors.

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical / Systems Engineering

15+ years or more Industrial Gas Turbine-Packaging experience

Extensive digital literacy, knowledge of design and visualization software, scheduling software, and MS Office products including Word, Excel, Project, and Power-Point

Proficient experience with project management and organizational skills including time management, leadership, and decision-making abilities

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers

High-level knowledge of Gas Turbine Packaging & associated auxiliary systems Engineering including Fuel, Oil, and Air systems

Structural Package Design and Packaging Configurations

Creation, review, and buy-off of Package system P&IDs

Solving electro-mechanical auxiliary systems

Preferred

Extensive knowledge and experience with safety guidelines related to onshore & offshore industrial plant powers

Proficient knowledge of project prioritization, project execution, and project management, including a deep understanding of construction, commissioning, handover, and post-project activities

Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation

Experience in contract management and managing contractors

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, adept at collaborating with multiple functions, roles, and levels within the organization, including mentoring junior team members

Experience in long-range company planning and guiding new areas of technological research and advancements

Advocacy for operational excellence and continuous improvement

Acting as a motivator for change and driving transformation

Embracing accountability for errors and using them as learning opportunities

Experience in safety guidelines related to onshore & offshore industrial plant powers

Experience in collaborating with multiple functions, roles, and levels within the organization
