Responsibilities

Conduct daily research and development with SLS printers and materials; primarily in-lab position.

Operate all aspects of the print process, including setup, printing, and post-processing of parts.

Collaborate with hardware and software teams to develop print processes for current and future SLS materials and systems.

Research material properties and work with suppliers to meet business objectives.

Identify main process parameters and study their effects on printer outputs.

Conduct formal DOE studies and statistical data analysis.

Summarize data and create reports for technical teams and senior management.

Work safely and efficiently in a lab setting with minimal supervision.

Required

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is required. Related disciplines will also be considered with relevant experience.

1-2 years’ experience working with selective laser sintering or other additive manufacturing processes is preferred.

Experience with DOE tools and statistical techniques is strongly preferred.

Experience managing a flexible daily schedule based on business demands and priorities.

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and technical communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong commitment to both internal and external customer satisfaction

Proven “can do” mind set: Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver results.
