Responsibilities
Develop design criteria manuals, technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications for Ventilation Fire & Life Safety systems
Optimize ventilation capacities using SES and CFD, and design tunnel ventilation equipment layouts
Coordinate technical expertise for mid-large-size projects and provide specialized technical input for studies and designs
Lead technical client relationships, technical business development work, and efforts to grow technical expertise
Mentor junior tunnel ventilation engineers and publish technical articles in international conferences

Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering +(10) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education
Professional registration (PE) in at least one state and willingness to register in other states if needed
Experience with Regulatory requirements for tunnel ventilation and fire safety, including experience in railways and underground spaces, including NFPA 130 and NFPA 502
Experience with systems engineering, integration, equipment testing and implementation
Preferred
Fifteen (15) years of tunnel Ventilation and underground structures related experience
MS in Mechanical engineering
Thoroughly knowledgeable of various tunnel ventilation methods and technique
Must have a thorough knowledge of CFD modeling and the ability to mentor and oversee work by Junior engineers
Membership with relevant professional organizations and active participation in National societies and organizations
Publications in technical journals and conferences and seminars
Ability and willingness to work remotely with some occasional travel to NYC
Technical report preparation, and supervision of less experienced engineers, designers and technicians
Experienced in mechanical and electrical performance quantification of tunnel ventilation equipment
Experienced in load and energy modeling, LEED, Revit and facilities MEP design requirements
In depth understanding and a proven track record in the application of fluid flow, heat and mass transfer governing equations
Technical papers published in international conferences
Collaborate with National Tunnel and Underground Engineering Practice Risk and Quality Leaders to recommend Risk Management Plan and Quality Plan on projects
