Responsibilities
Provides financial analysis support to administrators, department directors, and others as required.
Prepares operating and capital budgets for assigned areas.
Creates a 5-year financial operating forecast including statistics, payer mix, and capital payments.
Analyzes and presents findings for potential capital acquisitions, projects, and new services.
Conducts ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance analysis.
Develops management reports and operating pro-formas for new services/projects/capital.
Offers financial analysis and recommendations for lease vs. buy decisions on new equipment.
Acts as a liaison between the assigned area and Decision Support Services and other finance areas.
Participates in educational programs and professional organizations to stay updated on current trends.
Conducts finance training for Baylor Scott & White Health personnel as directed.
