Responsibilities

Troubleshoot malfunctions in various aircraft systems

Perform general mechanical maintenance of assigned aircraft

Service, repair, and overhaul aircraft and aircraft engines

Read and interpret manufacturers’ and service maintenance manuals

Inspect turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks

Test engine operation using testing equipment

Replace and repair worn or damaged components

Adjust, repair, and replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories

Perform complex troubleshooting on avionics and electrical mission systems

Perform check-out, removal, and replacement of cartridge-activated devices

Troubleshoot faults in avionic components and electrical systems down to component level

Utilize electronic support benches for troubleshooting and repair of aircraft systems

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of six (6) years experience in relevant aircraft/systems

Working knowledge of military publications, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics

Knowledgeable of supply procedures, IMRL accounting, aircraft and engine log books, and aircraft accounting systems

Preferred

A&P License/FAA Certification

Experience with military rotary aviation
