Responsibilities

Arrange secretarial and paraprofessional coverage and notary services
Assign secretarial coverage each morning and communicate with attorneys
Advise and demonstrate leadership with staffing issues
Assist with hiring, onboarding, counseling, and termination of support staff
Promote client-service orientation and recommend changes in work procedures
Comply with safety procedures, serve on First Response Team, and train others
Manage invitations for Firm events and review intranet pages
Review and approve support staff timesheets and requests for absences
Provide managerial coverage and communicate effectively with clients
Coordinate office repairs, perform walk-throughs, and supervise interoffice moves
Contribute to the overall success of the Firm by performing other duties as assigned

Required

A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience overseeing the daily operation and administration of a professional office environment, preferably in the legal or other professional services industry.
Experience in all aspects of management, including experience in a professional services firm such as a law office.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with a proven ability to produce results and meet deadlines.

Preferred

A bachelor's degree in human resource management is preferred or a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Management, Finance, Technology, Marketing, Law, etc.) with appropriate management experience.
CLM, SHRM-CP, SCP, and/or PHR certification is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency with NetDocuments is preferred.
Substantial and relevant work experience may be substituted.
Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs and Adobe.
