Responsibilities

Oversight of the ongoing interaction of people and hardware in all capacities at operating sites and assets.

Engage in design reviews of hardware and software during new product introduction to ensure safety requirements are met.

Drive incident reporting, create documentation and compliance system, manage process improvement, and prioritize software development for safety.

Provide support to service operations team in managing high-priority tasks including safety training, Root Cause and Corrective Action, and safety reporting.

Work with quality, technology, and site design teams to ensure safety for the organization.

Evaluate operational risk profiles of mechanical, electrical, and communications systems to determine appropriate solutions.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline such as engineering or applied sciences.

Greater than 5 years of professional experience as a safety engineer and/or management.

Experienced in program safety such as EAP, lock out/tag out, HMBP, PPE programs, etc.

Operational experience in service, manufacturing, or similar industry.

Demonstrated record of precision & integrity in past work assignments.

Expert-level experience in managing safety issues at the program and product level.

Significant experience creating reports and presentations summarizing electrical and mechanical incidents.

Able to drive hardware, organization, and process improvement to ensure workers customers, and bystanders at the sites are verifiably kept at the minimum risk level.

Preferred

PMP or Six Sigma certifications are helpful.

Current/prior high-tech industry or utility and distributed power generation background is helpful.
