Responsibilities

Help stakeholders understand data through exploration and building secure data processing pipelines.

Ensure high-performing, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and data stores.

Deal with unanticipated data issues swiftly and minimize data loss.

Design, implement, monitor, and optimize data platforms for accurate production data.

Provide a bridge between existing SSIS DW and future Azure Data Factory & Azure Synapse Analytics solutions.

Support & maintain existing data flow solutions.

Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models and foster data-driven decision-making.

Write tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and document work.

Work closely with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.

Design data integrations and data quality framework.

Model combined business data in Power BI for self-service reporting.

Assess data quality and automate data cleanup.

Follow specific, measurable testing procedures before production changes.

Branching strategy strategies and integrating with GitHub via Visual Studio and ADF.

Knowledge of best practices in IT operations for always-up, always-available service.

Independent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Process-oriented with excellent documentation skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

10+ years of technical experience with Data Warehousing, data engineering using ETL (or ELT) techniques with Microsoft and Informatica ETL tools

Expert at SQL

Thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts including schema design and dimensional data modeling

Experience developing Microsoft BI Solutions including SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, data models and OLAP cube solutions using Visual Studio

Ability in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients

Preferred

Experience in Snowflake is a plus

Experience in Power BI is a plus
