Responsibilities

Work within the parameters of manufacturing and personnel to develop or improve processes for efficiency and cost reduction.

Responsible for overall process design and measures to enhance manufacturing.

Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and other functions to formulate manufacturing processes for new products.

Conduct trials for new products, modify existing products, or when introducing new equipment.

Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP.

Follow organization’s GMP rules and monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMP’s.

Scale up products from R&D to production and establish detailed specifications for all products.

Conduct tests on systems for efficiency and accuracy, improve present manufacturing processes, and implement new technology transitions.

Identify and address process problems, collect and analyze data for optimal outcomes, and develop new processes and formulations.

Support conversion of small-scale processes into commercially viable large-scale operation.

Monitor modifications and upgrades, troubleshoot existing processes, and optimize all processes for desired results.

Prepare reports, flow diagrams, and charts, increase throughput by kitchen process optimization, and train operators and maintenance personnel.

Required

Must have a Master’s degree (or its U.S. equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

Must have 2 years experience in Product development in a food manufacturing plant or setting.

Must have 2 years experience in statistical process control and quality systems.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; computer proficiency in office software; strong analytical, problem-solving skills along with sound judgment.

Must possess ability to deliver professional and effective presentations to management and staff; and ability to anticipate as well as avoid potential problems based on prior experiences and knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems.
