Responsibilities
Manage technical tasks and project delivery for major transportation projects for State DOTs and municipalities, including multimodal transportation safety projects.
Develop and maintain client relationships, particularly with Missouri DOT.
Conduct safety analysis methods applicable to multimodal transportation and statistical analysis for roadway/multimodal safety.
Manage subconsultants and subcontractors, budgets, billability goals, staffing, and project resources.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies through verbal and written means.
Utilize technical writing skills for investigations, memorandums, and reports.
Possess knowledge of traffic analysis, data management, and transportation safety software such as ArcGIS, SQL, Python, PowerBI, IHSDM, Transmodeler, and Synchro.

Required
Demonstrated experience managing technical tasks and/or project delivery (including studies, technical support, and research) for major transportation projects for State DOTs and municipalities including multimodal transportation safety projects
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with transportation focus
Established local client relationships and previous experience on projects with Missouri DOT
Previous design and planning experience with departments of transportation, planning, transit, and/or municipal agencies
Knowledge of safety analysis methods applicable to multimodal transportation including high-injury networks, systemic safety analysis, and predictive crash analysis
Knowledge of statistics as they apply to roadway/multimodal safety
Demonstrated experience managing subconsultants and subcontractors
Understanding of budgets, billability goals, staffing, earned value and managing people
Solid communication skills – verbal and written
Technical writing expertise- reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigations, memorandums, or solutions reports
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) or other comparable certification
Road Safety Professional (RSP)
Experience with preparing project approaches, and fee estimates for proposals
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple project stakeholders, including clients, the public, and regulatory agencies
Experience in data management, safety analysis, and AASHTO’s Highway Safety Manual
Proficient understanding and knowledge of frequently used traffic analysis, data management/ analysis, and transportation safety software (ArcGIS, SQL, Python, PowerBI, IHSDM, Transmodeler, Synchro etc.)
