Responsibilities

Gather data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, or files, ensuring data quality and completeness.

Prepare data for analysis by cleaning, filtering, and transforming it into a usable format, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Apply statistical and analytical techniques to interpret data, identify trends, patterns, and relationships to uncover insights that can support decision-making.

Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations (such as charts, graphs, and plots) to present findings and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

Using data-driven approaches to solve complex business problems, optimize processes, and improve efficiency

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Required

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.

5-8 years of proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.

5+ years of proven Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).

Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).

Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.)

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.

Experience with databases and storage systems, such as SQL, NoSQL, and data lakes.

Knowledge of distributed computing concepts and experience working with distributed data processing systems.

Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

Proven ability to work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and convert them into analytical deliverables.
