Responsibilities

Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement process controls to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
New Product Development: Work alongside R&D teams to scale up new products from development to full-scale production, ensuring smooth integration into new and existing processes.
Equipment Selection and Maintenance: Assist in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and technologies. Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to represent and analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve process efficiency and quality.
Process Safety: Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for employees and compliance with industry regulations.
Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes and equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, procedures, and equipment specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, Root Cause analysis, or Kaizen to drive operational excellence.
Environmental Sustainability: Identify opportunities to minimize waste, reduce energy consumption, and improve overall environmental sustainability within the manufacturing processes.

Required

Strong understanding of food processing principles, equipment, and technologies.
Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the food industry.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Food Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in the same or similar role, prefer within the food manufacturing industry.

Preferred

Master's degree in related field.
May require occasional travel to supplier/vendor sites or other manufacturing facilities.
