Responsibilities

Design and implement services and APIs supporting both internal and external products

Ensure our code is scalable, maintainable, and reliable

Partner with other teams to iterate quickly on experimental systems that solve real user problems

Proactively find and fix performance bottlenecks in our services

Mentor junior engineers and help establish best practices for cloud-based microservices

Required

Have 4+ years of backend development experience with object oriented languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.)

Built cloud-based micro services and are an expert at event-based architecture

Built and scaled MVPs

Like solving complex and ambiguous problems efficiently - sometimes by writing code, but also by knowing when not to write code
