Responsibilities

Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, and design browser-based interfaces.

Design and conduct usability testing, interact daily with the development team, and create anatomy diagrams for new UI elements.

Support the creation and maintenance of design toolkits, facilitate customer discovery sessions, and create and refine screen prototypes.

Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.

Required

Must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review

Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week

Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles documenting user requirements user needs

Interaction/Interface design exp utilizing user-centered methods

Front-end development utilizing HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Exp preparing/presenting findings in group

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer daily

Minimum of 8 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis

Minimum of 8 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations

Minimum of 4 year of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings

Minimum of 2 year of experience front-end development of applications utilizing HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Experience using Axure RP prototyping software (preferably Axure 10)

Experience with Figma prototyping software

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement
