Responsibilities

Support all phases of new construction and renovation/upgrade for process systems including planning, design, construction, and commissioning.
Prepare project plans and presentations with budgets, schedules, and coordination details.
Conduct technical project reviews and provide recommendations.
Contract and oversee activities of contractors and consultants for engineering responsibilities.
Prepare designs, layouts, and bills of material for maintenance and projects.
Interpret regulatory codes for compliance.
Provide standard operating procedures for facility systems and equipment.
Evaluate equipment performance and identify improvement plans.
Troubleshoot system problems using facility’s Scada and system HMIs.
Develop corrective action proposals and recommendations.
Assess equipment replacement and expansion needs.
Approve outside contractors for maintenance and repair assignments.
Generate documents for new equipment such as PM checklists and manuals.
Provide guidance and training to staff.
Audit systems for non-conformance.
Support development of installation packages for process equipment.
Perform engineering assessments and feasibility studies.
Communicate and advise on maintenance risks and impacts on production schedule.
Coordinate facility projects within the organization.
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Act as systems owner for process operations and improvements.
Track process systems performance and reliability.
Support process system maintenance and critical equipment failures.
Review design specifications, submittals, and drawings.
Manage materials and costs for process systems.
Maintain facilities document control system.
Coordinate and lead the facilities process engineering team.
Provide leadership, development planning, and supervisory tasks.
Support building a strong process engineering team.
Ensure projects are compliant with codes and standards.
Influence supplier performance and relationships.
Communicate with engineers across disciplines for best practices sharing.
Other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related engineering field
10+ years of experience in operation/engineering of mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Process monitoring, optimization, and improvement
Excited in leading the people, managing process, equipment, material and utilities
Maintenance, design, and/or operation of electrical switchgear, transformers, VFD's, diesel generators, static/rotary UPS, and low voltage distribution equipment in a critical facility or high-tech manufacturing facility
Strong technical leadership with excellent organizational and verbal skills
Knowledge of and comfort with Microsoft Office Suite software including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability and proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical information to non-technical audiences
Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize work, and deliver quality results
Self-starter who works well independently and an outstanding ability to follow up with minimal direction by seeking answers and a focus on team success
Able to make appropriate decisions when confronted with obstacles, think about them before acting, and consistently resolve issues in creative and effective ways
A strong work ethic with a “get the job done” approach and consistently delivers excellent customer service, both internally and externally
Intuitive, adaptable, creative, and collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative nature with strong team building skills and willing to learn from and accept guidance from others
Participate in the development of project scopes, costs, and schedules for the annual capital improvement plan
Collaborating with Facility Engineers and BIM Designers by assigning tasks and supporting and monitoring compliance with project and operations parameters
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred

Experience managing multi-discipline projects
Ideal candidates will have supported large facilities, preferably in advanced manufacturing environments
Superb written and spoken communication, including executive-level presentations – but genuine above all. This role is a critical leadership role, with communications affecting a large organization
Demonstrated comfort in multi-national environments
Able to respond quickly to potentially critical situations, perform rapid, accurate assessments, identify causes of failures, determine appropriate corrective actions, and implement these corrections promptly to mitigate the effects of system upsets
Proficient with PC hardware and windows-based applications
Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure
Ability and proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data
Flexibility, which is critical for a high-performance environment
Demonstrated experience with energy conservation programs
