Responsibilities
The Non-Destructive Testing Engineer Level III oversees NDT processes, ensuring continual improvement and compliance.
Supports multiple Connecticut locations, requiring frequent travel for consistent implementation and collaboration.
Manages NDT personnel qualifications and certifications, maintaining rigorous standards.
Provides or supervises training, examinations, and certifications for NDT personnel.
Conducts audits of external agencies to verify compliance with company standards.
Interprets test results, determines acceptance/rejection based on codes and standards.
Approves test methods, techniques, and procedures as needed.
Collaborates with engineering on product design and tooling to integrate NDT requirements.
Reviews and approves engineering drawings to ensure NDT compliance.
Appoints NDT personnel, auditors, instructors, and examiners in conjunction with QA Manager, ensuring competence and alignment with company standards.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Associates degree in NDT
3 – 5 years’ experience in directly related field (level III)
Computer literate with Microsoft applications
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must meet Export Control compliance requirements as a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15
Preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification desired
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Reliability Engineer
