Responsibilities

Collaborate with product engineers, software developers, and product managers to design, build, and deliver capabilities in ArcGIS API for Python
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into the software
Develop and implement test plans and test cases, write test code, verify code changes, and bug fixes
Review and analyze automated test results, report status on software quality and stability, certify software quality
Troubleshoot and triage issues reported by customers
Author API documentation in the form of guides for Python developers
Share workflows in help topics, blog articles, presentations, tutorials, and samples

Required

5+ years of industry experience working in a software development environment
3+ years experience in applying Python towards GIS analysis, data science or GIS administration workflows
2+ years experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro or other geospatial technology
Excellent problem-solving, design, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A passion for software product quality and documentation
Bachelor’s in computer science, GIS or related disciplines

Preferred

Master's in computer science, GIS or related disciplines
Experience with ArcGIS API for Python and/or ArcPy
Experience with architecting test frameworks, testing patterns, unit test libraries and writing automated tests
Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills
Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment
