Responsibilities

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design prototypes and test instrumentation for air pollution detection and process gas analysis.

Work with various technology platforms including mass spectrometry, UV/Visible and IR optical spectroscopy.

Contribute to design, prototype assembly, laboratory testing, product refinement, and field testing.

Engage with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and industry experts in environmental monitoring and process control.

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on electromechanical systems and instrumentation

Five years of related research and development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or three years with a Master's degree

Experience using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Onshape

Hands-on experience using electro-mechanical devices like stepper motors, pumps, and solenoids and with test equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, and power meters

Experience using computer-based data acquisition and test systems such National Instruments DAQ modules and LabView

Classroom training or experience in analytical chemistry and statistics

A positive demeanor, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills
