Responsibilities

Realizes development, implementation and optimization of production technology for production of new and existing Schaeffler products.

Develop, validate and implement production technologies.

Improve production technologies in terms of quality, cost and robustness.

Initiate and coordinate development of production machines and tools.

Supports/enable production department to realize production (hand-over, training and troubleshooting)

Validate machines and tools.

Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and indirect areas.

Support/enable production or production departments to realize production (hand-over, training, trouble-shooting).

Train and guide engineering team in technology and best practices for metal forming and processing applications.

Required

University degree in Engineering or Technical Degree with equivalent experience in manufacturing

Minimum 5 to 10 years in metal forming experience

Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting production machinery (forming, grinding, heat treatment, automated assembly, induction)

Advanced knowledge of metal forming simulation and tool optimization process for deep drawing stamping, piercing, forging or machining operations

Preferred

Prefer international/regional training/experience from Schaeffler locations

Prefer six sigma green belt certification or desire to obtain
