Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical components, assemblies, or integrated circuitry for hardware systems for the external market.

Activities encompass design, analysis, testing, and process development using engineering principles and methods.

Technical disciplines may include electrical and logical design of printed circuit boards or integrated circuits; mechanical design of electronics enclosures or integrated circuit packaging; and embedded software/firmware design.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in network hardware engineering

Experience in cabling, low level device performance, thermals, etc.

Experience in designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical components for hardware systems

Experience in electrical and logical design of printed circuit boards or integrated circuits, mechanical design of electronics enclosures or integrated circuit packaging, and embedded software/firmware design

Experience in leading multiple engineers in developing network solutions

Experience in rack SKUs standardization and cabling solutions

Knowledge of current and future cabling and optical standards, cable plant design, rack structural calculations, and rack integration best practices

Ability to decompose high-level architectures into detailed designs

Ability to provide technical coaching and development to junior members

Experience in collaborating with vendor engineering and account managers

Experience in participating in the development of RFQ/RFPs

Experience in driving technology to meet product and service requirements

Strong communication skills

Ability to work in a global, cloud-based network environment

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
