Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and efficient processing of shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory

Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas, ensuring proper ticketing and sensoring of merchandise

Process inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, transfers, and damages based on company policies

Support compliance with receiving practices and inventory control procedures

Security tag stock to prevent loss

Communicate with central distribution and/or corporate inventory control department

Participate in inventory and cycle counts

Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping

Complete price changes within the boutique

Pack or wrap customers' merchandise when necessary

Suggest solutions for service and productivity improvement

Comply with company policies and procedures

Participate in store meetings and training seminars

Perform any other tasks as assigned by managers

Required

Ability to handle receiving operations effectively, including proper handling of merchandise

Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills

Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation

Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system

Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment

Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job, including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, sensor-tag remover, and all other office equipment

Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails heavy lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above

Previous retail stock/shipping/receiving experience
