Responsibilities
Proactively identify product capability gaps for internal and external customers and prioritize development efforts
Translate product roadmap and business strategy into detailed requirements for the Technology organization
Obtain buy-in from key stakeholders across the organization using evidence-based decision making
Conduct research on customer needs, new technologies, market trends, and competitors
Develop requirements documents, functional specifications, and mock-ups for product ideas
Work directly with customers to understand and advocate for their technical needs
Lead simulation and field testing of new product features and capabilities
Perform other job duties as assigned

Required
Background in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or similar technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
4-6 years of relevant industry experience and a track record of solving tough, technical problems
Technical experience with Software Development processes and providing clear documentation for engineering teams
Detail-oriented and organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to be an outstanding team player
Ability to learn new frameworks, new environments, and new technologies
Technical knowledge of the renewable energy industry
Ability to work cross functionally, explain designs and concepts to others with different backgrounds/degrees
Solid analytical, and problem-solving skills and can work independently and manage the workload of multiple projects and tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams
Preferred
Graduate degree (MS or PhD) preferred
SCADA, PPC, EMS, and BMS experience preferred
Deep knowledge of power electronics preferred
Experience with controls systems, particularly as they relate to power and energy systems preferred
Proficiency with Python, Java, or other languages preferred
Technical knowledge of Li-ion batteries and the grid-scale energy storage industry preferred
