Responsibilities
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test and tax return data to adequately test software applications.
Communicate test results, status, and potential risks.
Identify, analyze, fix, and document defects in software program functions.
Execute and enhance automated test regression profiles.
Respond to inquiries from end-users and technical support regarding software program functions.
Read and comprehend tax forms, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide feedback on program improvements.
Provide recommendations for software program documentation and improvements to current procedures and processes.
Devise improvements to current procedures, perform workflow analysis, and recommend quality improvements.
May assign work or guide others in the department.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field required.
4 - 6 years of QA/software testing experience required.
Understanding of test methodologies (regression, functional, unit, integration, code coverage, performance, etc.)
Experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and understanding of test automation design patterns and software testing principles
2 - 3 years’ experience with test automation tools and techniques required; Microsoft and related tools strongly preferred (C#, Selenium with C#)
Strong command of and experience with Unit Test frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, and MStest.
Familiarity with TDD concepts
Significant experience with the Agile development process
Experience and understanding of MS Windows usage (command prompt, PowerShell scripts, filesystem layout, registry)
Experience testing and debugging web applications, APIs, and their interactions.
Familiarity with web browser developer tools (managing cookies, network profiling, script debugging)
Familiarity with various web browsers and their differences (Edge, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc)
Experience with Microsoft development stack and tooling is strongly preferred (Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and related technologies)
Experience with tools such as Postman, Fiddler, SSMS, Visual Studio, Splunk, Postman, DataDog, Git
Basic understanding of SQL, .NET core web applications, REST APIs, ADO Pipelines is a plus
Good understanding of application development and ability to implement testing programs, review code and systems solutions.
Familiarity with tax preparation or personal finance a plus
ISTQB training preferred
