Responsibilities
Be a hands-on contributor in building the next generation ticketing systems with a distributed team.
Work on modernization initiatives in an AWS and Kubernetes based cloud infrastructure.
Deliver domain aligned microservices and data streams using Java SpringBoot and Apache Kafka.
Build, test, and deploy code with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
Support the stability and scalability of systems as part of a DevOps team.
Participate in development work across software teams, debug, and triage production application issues.
Ensure high quality through automated tests.
Stay updated on technology landscape and mentor other software developers.

Required
6 or more years of progressively complex related experience or proven experience in a similar role with a deep desire to stay hands-on.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or relevant experience.
Skills in at least one modern object-oriented programming language.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities thinking out of the box and proposing creative solutions for complex problems.
Hands-on expertise with Java11 and Kafka is a big plus.
Experience with databases like RDS Aurora, MySQL or Cassandra is a bonus.
Comfortable contributing in a remote environment and with globally distributed teams.
Appreciate and embrace transparency and see value in providing and receiving feedback.
Experience with Agile methodologies
Experience in DevOps
