Responsibilities
Assist the Chief in reinforcing safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Manage timely completion of preventative and corrective maintenance assignments.
Schedule personnel in Central Utility Plant and substitute for Operating Engineers’ shifts when needed.
Perform preventive and repair work orders on facility building envelope, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
Monitor BMS systems, respond to alarms, and diagnose issues.
Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment, controls, plumbing, and electrical components.
Order materials to support maintenance of various systems.
Recommend building modifications, equipment replacement, or major repairs.
Lead and share knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety, and tools with team members.
Support after-hours building-related activities and emergency response team.
Arrange Small Job casework, lab exhaust sheet metal work, and valving/switching operations.
Coordinate PM service visits, repairs, and documentation for various systems.
Perform facility rounds, report on building conditions, and ensure satisfactory client operations.
Other tasks as assigned.

Required
Minimum of 5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent years of relevant experience
Knowledge of basic carpentry, basic HVAC/Controls, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
Preferred
Experience operating chillers and boilers
Supervisory experience
