Responsibilities
Design and develop Costco Travel’s in-house travel booking software applications.
Work on Costco Travel’s travel portal for booking car rentals, vacation packages, hotels, and cruises.
Collaborate on requirement analysis, project planning, and scheduling.
Estimate tasks and define project milestones.
Provide software design solutions and enforce application development guidelines.
Organize and lead sprint planning activities, prioritize project tasks, and assign them to team members.
Coach and mentor developers to drive operational efficiencies and technical growth.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure technical directions and standards are followed.
Support deployment activities into production and work closely with the software testing team.

Required
Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Two years of experience in designing and developing database technologies with Java Database Connectivity or an equivalent data-tier framework to connect to relational databases or No-SQL databases
Two years of experience in using relational databases (such as MS-SQL Server or T-SQL) to create and modify tables, data structures, stored procedures, and other database functions, or using ORM tools like Hibernate to manage relational data
Two years of experience in developing REST-ful services (microservices) using Java technologies like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud or Jersey
Two years of experience in developing unit-testing using JUnit / JMockit
Two years of experience in developing for continuous integration and continuous deployment environments using Jenkins
Two years of experience in analyzing error logs in Splunk, creating dashboards, and tracking code quality
One year of experience in designing and developing client/server models and/or web-based applications using Java Enterprise Editions technologies (such as Servlet, Java Server Pages, or Spring)
One year of experience in developing software for the IT travel industry and Online Travel Agent systems, in accordance with Open Travel Alliance (OTA) standards
