Responsibilities
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
Develop tasks lists and coordinate schedule of reporting requirements within Controller’s Office.
Create, utilize and maintain databases and provide audit trails and thorough documentation.
Prepare and reconcile the University’s audited financial statements, including the statements of financial position, statement of activities, statement of cash flows and footnotes.
Prepare various monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial report journal entries and other journal entries as assigned.
Prepare Athletics EADA/NCAA Report of Revenue and Expenditures and footnote(s).
Prepare surveys for various external agencies. (Examples include, but are not limited to Moodys, IPEDS, AICUP, Middles States, Petersons, US News, and FM Global).
Serve as contact and support for the internal and external auditors in regards to the audited financial statements, EADA/NCAA audit report and any relevant internal audits.
Provide specialized accounting and reporting assistance to Controller's Office
Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, accuracy and controls.
Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Three to five years of related work experience
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting techniques
Experience in providing audit trails and thorough documentation for financial transactions and reports
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
