Responsibilities
Enable teams to research, design, develop, and maintain existing and new websites and components
Monitor and analyze team progress and results within their product teams and adjust assigned resources as necessary to maintain user and engineering goals and milestones.
Provide guidance and oversight in project planning, technical design, estimating and development schedules.
Facilitate a culture of innovation and lessons learned among engineering teams to maximize quality and productivity.
Oversee the execution of multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met, without sacrificing software quality.
Cultivate an environment of collaboration, transparency, and passion for innovation.
Supervise team and work with department representatives to coordinate project priorities and progress.
Evaluate and communicate employee performance through weekly 1-on1 meetings and annual performance reviews.
Engage, manage, mentor, and coach a team of front-end engineers on career goals and growth.
Partner with others to deliver results. This includes, but not limited to, product owners, product managers, scrum masters, and other department managers (software, UX, QA, and DevSecOps).
Grow the team by attracting and hiring top talent and promoting engineers when ready.
Retain and promote career growth of the Front-End Team.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
Requires a minimum of three to five years of Web or Software Engineering experience, including hands-on experience in developing large-scale websites.
Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Proven management skills of an engineering team working on enterprise-level website(s) with a focus on people leadership and coaching.
Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and mentor your team and colleagues across teams.
Knowledge of latest HTML, CSS, and JavaScript standards and APIs.
Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of the latest front-end libraries and frameworks. Specifically React and common tools used by React applications.
Understanding of web analytics, accessibility, and performance metrics.
Self-directed with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish and maintain cooperative, respectful working relationships.
Time management skills demonstrated by the ability to delegate on, and execute, multiple projects and team management tasks while working on a tight deadline and collaborate with other teams.
